Jeff Beck在70年代以此琴錄製專輯，並留下無數現場演奏，這把吉他其形象定格於里程碑專輯《Blow By Blow》的封面，也曾隨他登上 BBA與多位巨星合作舞台，使這把吉他成為Jeff Beck吉他中最知名的Les Paul。
這把傳奇的Oxblood前身是1954年製的Les Paul Goldtop，1972年在美國孟斐斯的Strings & Things樂器行經多次大幅改裝，吉他原本配置的P-90拾音器被更換成了Humbucker拾音器，而整把吉他被重新噴漆為Oxblood深血紅色，並伴隨其他的配件改裝，這些改裝主力被由改裝名匠Tom “TK” Keckler操刀，他回憶時稱「這是一把被玩壞的Les Paul，我們把它重建，並改為Humbucker拾音器」，而Jeff Beck在1975年BBA巡迴期間，遭遇航空公司造成的琴頭損傷，並被送至Knight Guitars的Gordon Wells維修，更換了更大的琴頭與琴頸，也因此，這把吉他有著濃烈的改裝氛圍。
Gibson於2009年正式復刻這把傳奇的Jeff Beck 1954 Les Paul Oxblood，生產總數共150把，其中50把為Aged & Signed版本，100把為VOS版本，並且皆有著親筆簽名。

A Classic Reborn. This is the 2009 Gibson Custom Shop Jeff Beck 1954 Les Paul Oxblood, created in collaboration with Jeff Beck to pay tribute to one of the most iconic Les Pauls in rock history.
In the 1970s, Jeff Beck used this guitar extensively for studio recordings and countless live performances. It became immortalized on the cover of the milestone album Blow By Blow, and accompanied him on stage with BBA and in collaborations with many legendary artists. Over time, it became the most recognized Les Paul associated with Jeff Beck.
The legendary Oxblood began life as a 1954 Les Paul Goldtop, which underwent extensive modifications in 1972 at the Strings & Things music store in Memphis. Its original P-90 pickups were replaced with humbuckers, and the entire guitar was refinished in a deep Oxblood red. Additional hardware modifications were carried out under the skilled hands of luthier Tom “TK” Keckler, who recalled: “It was a messed-up Les Paul. We rebuilt it and converted it to humbuckers.” During the 1975 BBA tour, the guitar suffered headstock damage due to an airline incident. It was subsequently repaired by Gordon Wells of Knight Guitars, who replaced the headstock and neck with larger ones. These changes cemented the guitar’s reputation as a heavily modified and distinctive instrument.
In 2009, Gibson officially reissued this legendary guitar as the Jeff Beck 1954 Les Paul Oxblood, with a total production of 150 pieces—50 Aged & Signed versions and 100 VOS versions—all bearing Jeff Beck’s personal signature.
Specs include a mahogany body and neck, maple top, rosewood fingerboard, and a specially designed Jeff Beck 50s neck profile. The guitar is fitted with a pair of Burstbucker 2 and Burstbucker 3 pickups replicating vintage PAFs, wraparound bridge, and Schaller tuners, faithfully reflecting the modifications of the original.
This example remains in near-collector condition at 95%, there are a few very small and barely noticeable dings on the back of the guitar; otherwise, all remaining marks are standard VOS aging. The certificate is hand-signed by Jeff Beck himself, making this an exceptional opportunity for both collectors and players alike.
