由Fender Custom Shop頂級部門與Masterbuilt中的傳奇製琴師John Cruz共同推出的限定版Master Design系列，這是一款以Fender 1963 Stratocaster為基底，擁有Vintage Fender的復古氛圍與外觀，但加入了John Cruz累績數十年的製琴經驗經所重新微調設計的吉他，更加的符合現代的功能性。採用了Large C型琴頸、更平坦的12” Radius指版，加上6100 Frets的配置，使彈奏起來更加舒適。而遙座底部改為黃酮塊，增加了非常好的共鳴。琴身為Alder、楓木琴頸與玫瑰木指版。原廠配置了一組由John Cruz設計的Master Design Pickups拾音器，這是這款琴最獨特的功能，眾所皆知，John Cruz在線路與拾音器設計上相當拿手，這組特殊設計的拾音器除了整體擁有了更大的輸出以外，還提高了中頻的厚度與更甜美的高頻，中段為Reverse-Wound/Reverse-Polarity，可減少傳統第二與第四段過大的雜訊問題，而John Cruz將琴身上第三顆Tone鈕設計成特殊的混合控制鈕，利用這顆控制鈕可以混合傳統Stratocaster無法達到的拾音器組合。將這顆控制鈕歸零，Switch處於第五段與第一段時會混合前、後段拾音器，Switch處於第四段時會混合中、後段拾音器，當轉開鈕時會混合前、中、後段拾音器，提供更多的音色。吉他在琴頭後方有著Eric Johnson的親筆簽名。整體九成新，Fret約八成新，配件齊全。John Cruz目前已離開Fender，導致由他所製作或設計的吉他更加保值，市場上也不多見，有興趣的玩家們把握收藏機會。

2015 Fender Custom Shop John Cruz Master Design 1963 Stratocaster Relic-Sunburst. The guitar is in very good condition, the frets are in 80% condition. The guitar has a signed by Eric Johnson on the back of the headstock.

The latest Limited Edition Stratocaster in the Master Design Series is the Fender Custom Shop Master Design 1963 Relic Stratocaster. This outstanding custom electric guitar is meticulously designed by longtime Master Builder John Cruz to embody the classic early-’60s vibe and look, with hot-rodded features under the hood that deliver modern playability along with tonal versatility. The Limited Edition John Cruz Master Design ’63 Strat Relic comes with a set of special Master Design single-coil pickups which provide increased output, additional midrange punch and a sweeter top end for soloing. The middle pickup is Reverse-Wound / Reverse-Polarity for hum cancelling operation in positions two and four. Additional custom wiring features include a five-way switch, master volume and tone controls, along with a special blend control built into what would normally be the second tone knob. This blend control offers the neck and bridge pickups together in positions one and five, and all three pickups together in positions two and four. This is a feature we actually came up with while working with John to design and spec our Make’n Music Exclusive, Dealer Select MVP Series Limited Run electric guitars. We later transitioned from a Blend pot to an S-1 switch, and John refined the Blend pot’s operation. Either way- We absolutely love that Neck / Bridge pickup combination! It’s a classic tone that is typically unavailable from the Fender Stratocaster and one of the innovations that makes this Limited Edition Master Design Stratocaster Relic such a killer piece or gear!

Attention to detail from this ’63 Strat Relic Master Design Limited Edition

From a few feet away you would be hard pressed to tell that this John Cruz Master Design Series Limited Edition wasn’t an actual Vintage 1963 Stratocaster. The two-piece Alder body has an off-center seam (just like Leo Fender used to use) and the faded Two-color Sunburst, Nitrocellulose Lacquer finish has been tastefully distressed with a light Relic treatment for a truly authentic, vintage look that isn’t over done. Other premium features include a Quartersawn Maple Neck with a meaty, Large "C" profile and the finish worn off the  back for a smooth, fast feel. The 12" fingerboard radius on the round-laminated, extra Dark Rosewood fingerboard is built with comfortably rolled edges and jumbo frets for maximum comfort and playability with the lowest possible action. A stock looking vintage-style synchronized Tremolo bridge is actually built with a brass block for as livelier, overall tone and comes with an extra-sturdy, larger-diameter trem arm. A three-ply Mint Green Nitrocellulose pickguard and nickel /chrome hardware complete the cosmetic package. Includes special Center Pocket Black case with Fender Amp Logo, cable, strap, tool kit and certificate of authenticity.
