1988年製，市場上非常少見的年份，經典的Lemon Burst配上AAAA級嚴選虎紋。Pre-Historic為1993年前Custom Shop Historic Reissue系列尚未發表前的產品，它是第一款Gibson以50年代的Les Paul為概念製作的復刻琴款，而當年這批Reissue配上'59 Neck Profile的型號也就是目前的R9。桃花心木琴身、玫瑰木指版，琴頸為'59 Neck Profile。拾音器配置為Seymoure Duncan APH-1N/APH-1B拾音器，Fret已更新狀況佳，尚有九成新，VR皆升級為CTS。整體八成新，正常使用痕跡與傷痕，琴頸有因年份而產生的自然Finish Checking，相當有味道。
